Frequently asked questions

Q: What should I/we wear?

Wear whatever makes you feel beautiful and comfortable! Neutral colours are best so it doesn’t clash (think beiges, browns, greys etc) but really it’s entirely up to you. Feel free to send outfit pictures and I can help you decide!

Q: I can’t decide on location! Help!

A location special to you is a good starting point - favourite park you go to regularly, where you met, where you had your first date, where you grew up. In-home sessions are also wonderful especially for family shoots as the little ones are in their comfort and safe zone.

Q: My home is a mess! Why would I do an in-home session?

I am a mum as well so completely understand mess! It’s all part of you and your family’s personality! I will move things if needed and I have a knack for eliminating mess in my photography so you don’t need to worry about a single thing (including cleaning up). Send me some photos of your windows and rooms and I can help you visualise it.

Q: I’m/we’re really awkward. What should we expect?

My style is relaxed and candid. We will meet and perhaps have a bit of a chat to warm up (especially if kiddos are involved!) before jumping in.

I will give some directions, or give some prompts. We will capture a combination of posed and candid photos, but please let me know if you prefer more of one or another.

Q: Should I bring or prepare anything for the shoot?

For outdoor shoots, bring a picnic rug for some shots sitting down. Bring any other props you may wish, toys that can be used to get the kiddos’ attention, and pet treats/toys if pets are involved. I will bring these things as well but if you have ones you want to use, that is perfect.

Q: What package should I choose?

I am a strong believer in printing your memories and framing them. You won’t regret it! If you can’t decide, please feel free to get in touch and we can have a chat. I can always tailor a package to suit your needs!

Q: Can I bring grandparents/aunties/uncles/etc to the shoot?

Yes! You can bring relatives to the shoot for the midi and maxi packages. Unfortunately, the 30 minute mini shoots are too short to be able to capture more than immediate family.
